Parent counseling and education is a cornerstone of our therapeutic approach. We firmly believe that parents are their child’s most important therapists, as they are with them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The family-centered approach:
According to the latest research data, our approach is family-centered. This means that we do not only focus on the child as an individual, but we treat the family as a whole. Every child grows up in a family environment that directly influences their development.
For this reason, parental counseling is a very important part of the child’s rehabilitation process. Through appropriate advice and suggestions that we give to parents, we guide and activate them to actively participate in the entire process of rehabilitation and normal neurological, motor and communication development of their child.
Our goal:
Our goal is for parents to integrate motor education through play and other activities into their child’s daily life, so that together we can achieve the maximum and fastest results in the child’s acquisition and training of normal motor patterns according to their age and developmental stages. When parents understand the logic behind therapeutic techniques and can apply them at home, the child’s progress is dramatically accelerated. Therapy is no longer limited to one or two hours a week in the therapy center, but is extended to every moment of the day.
What does the consultation include:
Parental counseling and guidance is a dynamic process that is provided throughout the treatment of their child. It is not a single session, but a continuous, evolving educational path that adapts to the changing needs of the child and the family. During the counseling, parents learn: Correct techniques for handling the child during daily care – how to lift, hold, change, and dress the child in a way that promotes proper motor development and does not reinforce incorrect patterns. Therapeutic exercises and activities that they can apply at home, integrated into the daily routine. These exercises are designed to be simple, effective, and fun for both the child and the parent.
How to incorporate play therapy, turning every moment of interaction into an opportunity for learning and growth. Play is a child’s language and the most natural means of learning.
Ways to prevent incorrect movement patterns that can develop if a child is left to move without guidance.
The stages of normal development and what to expect at each stage, so that they can recognize progress and know what to aim for.
Practical advice on everyday activities such as eating, bathing, sleeping, exploring space, in a way that promotes development.
Empowering parents:
Beyond practical skills, our counseling aims to psychologically empower parents. Diagnosing a problem in a child can be overwhelming for a family. Parents often feel uncertain, scared, and perhaps even guilty. Through the counseling process, parents: Understand their child’s problem in depth, which reduces the fear of the unknown and helps them see the situation more realistically.
They gain confidence in their abilities to help their child.
They realize that they can make a difference.
They learn to celebrate small steps of progress, recognizing that every
small conquest is a big victory.
They create a network of support and communication with us, knowing
that they are not alone on this journey.
They see their child not as a “patient” but as a unique individual with
limitless potential who just needs the right guidance.
Ongoing support:
Counseling does not stop with the end of the session. We are available to parents whenever a concern or question arises. They can call us on the phone to answer any questions about their child. This ongoing communication creates a relationship of trust and collaboration that is essential for the success of the therapy. Parents know that they are not alone, that there is someone to support and guide them every step of the way.
We believe that when we empower parents, we empower the entire family. And when we empower the family, we give the child the best possible environment to develop to their fullest potential.
